DIY SEO

We have developed our DIY SEO programme to help businesses get found on Google. It’s a pretty simple concept:

We provide you with the technical, marketing and SEO insights that you need to create an optimised website.

If you want to find out more about how our DIY SEO has helped our client Three Pillars of Fitness watch the video below. or if you don't want to watch the video now.. just read on!

Under our guidance – YOU DO THE WORK.

Just so you know, we have worked with clients across a range of platforms including; Wordpress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, Magento, Go Daddy, Opencart, Weebly and Opencart. However, if you use another platform do get in touch and if we can help you, we will, and if we can't we will tell you.

The Process

It’s a good value option but it does need commitment from you to carry out our recommendations. Like many things, with DIY SEO you really do get out of it what you put into it.

The process is straightforward:

1) ‘Getting to know you and your business’

An initial briefing meeting where you talk to us about your business and give us an understanding of the audiences you are trying to attract. During the meeting we will look at how technically proficient you are at using your websites CMS, allowing us to tailor our recommendations around your abilities.

2) Initial review

We do an initial review of your website taking into account the taxonomy, content & design and then categorise the issues we have found according to urgency and complexity to fix.

3) Monthly meet 1

At our first monthly meeting we will go through our review findings and show our thoughts on how we will ‘fix’ key issues giving specific and detailed instructions on making the changes.

4) You make the changes.

5) Monthly meet 2

We review the changes you have made and show you how to ‘fix’ the next set of issues

6) You make the changes.

7) Monthly meet 3

We review the effect of the changes made to date, recommend any tweaks that will ensure that your site is working as effectively as it can and show you how to ‘fix’ the next set of issues.

8) You make the changes.

And so it goes...

The Important Stuff

The important stuff you should do if you are thinking of becoming part of our DIY SEO gang (yes that’s right we call it a gang!)

1) Watch this video about how one of our clients’ worked with us to create a website that regularly brings new clients into his business

2) Check out our google reviews - Build14me Google Reviews - Obviously the reviews all say nice things about us.. but we know we are not everyone’s cup of tea, it's probably worth you giving us a call to see if you like what you hear before making a commitment.

3) Make sure you actually have the time to work on your website, realistically you will need to spend at least 4 hours a week every week on your website plus have a regular monthly virtual meeting (of up to 2 hours) with our team. Remember that by actually doing the work yourself you will save money and learn heaps from our experts! We won’t ‘tell you off’ if you haven’t been able to complete things.. but it will just mean the whole process will take a lot longer.

4) Remember SEO is complicated and it's getting harder all the time. If it was easy you wouldn’t need us and there would be lots of miserable people sitting on benches telling people about how they ‘used to be in SEO’. You will need to sign up for a minimum of 6 months and no we can’t tell you exactly what we will achieve during that time, all we can tell you is that if you put in the hours your website will improve its ranking for selected keywords.. simple as that.
